John 1:4-5 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. This was the scene before me as I drove home on a summer evening. I was so drawn to the magnificently dark storm clouds and yet the orange sunset continued to shine through the sky. It was like watching a Hudson Valley River artist painting in motion. I am especially fond of Thomas Cole; he is my favorite American landscape artist. I was amazed at the variety of color in the sky, especially the grayed yellow and ominous green that touched the bottom of the storm clouds. This is a 12×16 painting done on 140 pound cold press paper.
