The first time I attended a painting event at Joyful Arts Studio I was terrified. "I can't paint! I have no artistic ability." Within minutes of my first brush stroke all my anxiety melted away. Susan is encouraging and patient. I am hooked with four works of art under my belt, and more to come. Susan brings out the artistry and creativity. My first two works of art are now hanging on my living room wall.
I had a most enjoyable evening! Thanks Susan for being a patient, caring instructor! I would recommend this activity to anyone who just desires to try expressing themselves in an artistic way. A person doesn't need to be an accomplished artist to enjoy painting in this way. I hope to do it again very soon!
I can't begin to understand how I got what I was feeling onto my canvas, but I did. It was a very freeing experience.

Painting this way is so much more enjoyable to me because I can watch the colors merge together, and make it more of an experiment than worrying about a finished painting.
